I was in the West Village area in Smryna and while I noticed Plush Boutique was now closed I also noticed a new comer to the area. The "Plus Size" sign in the window is what got my attention. So I took a little visit for my Boutique Freaks! This boutique is called Heavy Chevy & Lucy Lou's (reminds you a the title of a Big Boi album right?) As I walked in the first thing that I noticed were all the colors everywhere. There was a variety of everything from what I can remember. What caught me off guard was the lack of interest by the salesperson that someone had just walked in. I looked around at clothes and the very attractive boutique and tried to figure out how everything was organized...but I couldn't. I didn't know if these clothes came from previous owners, whether it was a special vintage shop, so I just asked. I asked the young stylish fellow if this was a vintage boutique and he said no, but the owner does sell vintage. He didn't volunteer any other information, but I did ask him if the owner was here and he informed me she was not.

I took this really nice flyer with me with the hopes of being able to find out more information on this new boutique, but after a couple of attempts at trying to visit, I kept being led to some other site that had nothing to do with the store. They do have a facebook page, but at this time it isn't that informative. I'm not going to rate this boutique because everything seems to still be in infancy. I do plan to go back and I will give you guys an updated posts. What I will tell you is that there is a wide variety of clothing there for men and women, and they also have plus size clothing avaiblable (for my thicker than a snicker chicks lol, love you guys muah!) Okay well, while iKandie Clothing boutique is hardly the last store standing in the East Atlanta Village, it is one of the last boutiques, its neighbor House of Bling recently emptied its racks and closed its doors. One would think there was a curse on trendy boutiques that settle into the eccentric community of East Atlanta Village. While restautants like the Graveyard Tavern, the East Atlanta Restaurant and Lounge (affectionately refered to as The EARL), and Grant Central Pizza have had great success in the East Atlanta Village, most boutiques such as the trendy children's boutique Blah Blah Boutique and House of Bling haven't had the same luck. Perhaps the secret lies in the real estate. iKandie boutique has been arround for atleast 2 to 3 years, could be more, but before iKandie made its debut, that very same space was that of Pieces of Adrene. Pieces of Adrene was the most successful boutique I'd seen in East Atlanta and probably stayed around the longest. Adrene moved her boutique over the Castleberry Hills area in Atlanta in a larger space and in an area she felt was her market. Then along came iKandie! iKandie does live up to its name. No particular labels sold in the store but the clothes are fabolous just the same. The prices are really affordable, most of the pieces are unique and under $100 and the accessories are under $25. Watch the window for sales as well, iKandie just recently had a sale for 50% off all the clothing store! Can't beat that! I give iKandie boutique an over 4 pumps up! Tired of going to the malls on the hunt for accessories? Tired getting trapped in Claires or Icing with all the "Teeny Boppers"? Tired of going in your favorite clothing stores, finding the perfect outfit, but scrapping through their limited selection of accessories? Well I found the answer and its in Atlanta's own Atlantic Station. Its a small accessory stored called Pink Heart. Pink Heart is located right next to H&M at in Atlantic Station.

The best way I can describe this place is "Claire's for 21 and up!" There are tons of great-looking costume jewelry, purses, and other accessories. But the clear for front of the store are the top to bottom walls of attractive accessories, in every color you need, at great prices !

There is usually only one person working in the shop. But I doubt you will need any help finding anything because its all laid in front of you, arranged by type of accessory, grouped in color blocks, and arranged with smallest accessory being at the top of the wall progressing to larger accessories toward the bottom. The is an awesome place to get  some really affordable statement pieces as well. There is truely something for everybody here! Its wonderful, TRUST ME!! I give Pink Heart an C for decor, its pretty average. They pretty much let the accessories decorate the store, which isn't a bad thing. I give Pink Heart an A for Customer Experience because the selection is AWESOME!! Its so organized and so easy to shop here. I seriously doubt you could be let down when you come to this place. Being the fashionistas that you guys are have you ever wondered where stars like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and even Jersey Shore Reality Star Snooki grabbed these specticles??

Well wonder no more! These amazing glasses are the one of a kind creations of Kerin.Rose, designer of A-Morir eyewear and accessories. I first learned of the woman behind the lenses on an episode of House of Glam (Shout of to the B.Lynn Group!), when notable stylist Crystal Streets went shopping for accessories for a photo shoot (Crystal got Kerin's designer shades on her first celebrity, Mariah Carey). Then one day my friend was like "I wanna know where I can get some of those glasses with the stones and stuff on them", so we went on an internet search rampage because I couldn't spell A-Morir right for the life of me. But you know I found her site! Located at www.a-morir.com you will find out everything you need to know about this amazing designer, whose wearing her accessories, and how you can get them yourself. What makes A-Morir so special? Well as she put it on the episode of House of Glam herself  "..my thing is like putting stuff on stuff that doesn't necessarily belong on stuff..". Hence the birth of some of the more unique and unusual designs like the Barracuda shades (the shades on the left side). I give the A-Morir online store an A, simply because Kerin isn't just selling you some mass manufactered "unspecial" product, these shades are made to order. They range from $150 to around $600, so if your BALLING and need a definate trendsetting look, order something from the A-Morir line. EVERYTHING is eyecatching! These accessories are extremely exclusive and aren't available at too many boutiques, there are only two listed stores listed on website, so my recommendation is to order them straight from the website.

Hello Boutique Freaks! Hope the holidays were good to you. Now New Years Eve is upon us and I feel like you guys need something different. I think you need something one of a kind. The best way to get something "One of a kind" is to go VINTAGE!! Today I visited Poor Little Rich Girl vintage shop located at 3393 Main Street in College Park, GA. The moment you start driving down Main Street in Historic College Park its like driving through time. The strip of shops look as if they might have been frozen in time from the '60s. What an appropriate area of town for this boutique.

Walking into the shop is like walking into you affluent and fashionable 55 - 65 year old Aunt's fabulous walk-in closet. The set up is awesome. Co-Owner Kenny showed me around the store. I told him I was afraid to even touch some of the clothes but he told me they encourage customers to try on the clothes. Wouldn't that be a fun time for you and your girlfriends? This shop gets an A for decor. The light blue paint on the walls and the hardwood floors give the shop a comfortable, homey feel. The outfits that are displayed on the walls are great and there are even vintage props displayed around the shop like luggage and books. I also give the shop an A for shopping experience. Kenny did a wonderful job showing me around the store, showing me pieces they'd just gotten in, and answering any questions I had. The prices are pretty cool too, I eyed some cute accessories as low as $8 and I really had my eye on some gorgeous blouses than ran $16 and up. There are definately some unique pieces in the shop. I'm sure that patterned jumpsuit or the red beaded and sequin dress displayed in the window would be FAB on someone for New Years Eve. And you wouldn't have to worry about anyone else having your outfit if you shop here. While everyone else poors into the malls to find their New Years outfits, make your way to Poor Little Rich Girl and get Retro Glam! You will LOVE IT!
