Spice Boutique: Where Sugar and Spice Make Everything.....FASHIONABLE!

Hello Boutique Freaks! I was invited (more like invited myself and they graciously accepted) to come out and visit one of Atlanta's newest shopping spots: Spice Boutique. Spice Boutique is located near the historic Sweet Auburn district in Atlanta. The Sweet Auburn area is known for its booming social and economic success for and by African Americans between the 1880s and 1960s. Sweet Auburn now has a budding fashion district and Spice Boutique is growing with it.

These are the fabulous ladies that planted to the seed, Portia and Jennifer. Portia, a professional model, and Jennifer, creator of Candy Girlz Shoes, came together to form Spice Boutique. The haute new boutique has been up and running for about 8 months now and they have so much to offer. You can get a little of everything from Spice, from exclusive vintage pieces, modern pieces by up and coming designers, haute lingerie, even "haut"er shoes, and banging accessories.

One of the things that really caught my eye when I walked in was the presentation of the shoes and once I got a little closer, the merchandise did NOT let me down. These beautiful shoes are adorned with Candy Girlz Shoes. The great thing about Jennifer's Candy Girlz Shoes is that not only do the designs and styles rival the likes of Louboutain but they're also affordable. My picutre does the shoe display no justice at all but heres a look at it.

While chatting with one of the store owners, Portia I got a little "tea" too. As she told me about all the different lines they carry in the store she mentioned that they carried J. Loren. I told her that I had been to his boutique La Bella Vie in Castleberry Hills (check out my previous posts here ~~>La Bella Vie and La Bella Vie 2). Unfortunately clicking the links to my post is the only way you'll be able to visit La Bella Vie because the owner closed his doors, but on a much higher note you can find all his creations in Spice Boutique. Heres one dress I thought was really nice.

Some other brands you can find here are Cupcake Mafia Tees, Pretty Posh lingerie, and Jewelry and Accessories by artist like Renitta Clements, Miss B, and Aja. You can visit Spice Boutique at 49 Boulevard SE Atlanta, GA 30312. Their website is coming soon, but in the meantime you can stay updated on the latest news with Spice Boutique via their twitter @spice_boutique for @spice_girlz , find them under Spice Boutique on facebook, or just stop in the store and join their mailing/text list! Be sure to tell them Boutique Freak sent you!

the store as well.

So make sure you guys go out and visit Spice Boutique at 49 Boulevard SE Atlanta, GA 30312, you can also visit their facebook page. Their

U-Rock Couture: U ROCK BLING!!

Hello Boutique Freaks! I'm bringing you another boutique I visited during my trip in Miami. I actually eyed this boutique when I was in Miami last year in 2010. So I made it one of my missions to get back to this place when I discovered I would be making another trip to Miami. Its called U-Rock Couture. There are a plethora of different shops on South Beach but U-Rock Couture stands out amoung many. The overall theme of the store seems to be to sell anything fabulous and over the top! I loved it. The store decor itself was quite over the top and extravagant.

Needless to say I was in complete awe as I walked through the store! Everything is so blingy, so over the top, so glam, with a Cuban or Hispanic flair. My most favorite part of the store were the shoes! I can't say this enough, if you know me you know I love most things with sparkles, glitter, and sequins. Glam :-) The shoes were all these things and more.

These babies run around $150 to $200 a pop. They seem pretty well made, so I'd say they're worth it. The other reason I feel like they're worth it are because the Gianmarco Lorenzi shoes that these beauties are inspired by cost around $2,750 to $3,000. You make the call. U-Rock Couture is also fill with other glams clothes and accessories, like the completely necessary blinged out Dwayne Wade jersey the mannequinn is holding below, rhinestone rimmed shades, and glamerous belts

U-Rock Couture is definitely the place to find all these glamerous, blingy, and over the top! So if your ever your ever in Miami and your looking for some pieces that will set you apart from the competition, stroll on down Ocean Drive and visit U-Rock Couture Boutique. Their located exactly at 928 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139. Tell them the girl that they told to stop taking all the pictures sent you there! You can also visit there facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/U-Rock-Couture/130807413647414#!/pages/U-Rock-Couture/130807413647414 .

The Lucky Exchange

Hello Boutique Freakers! Well it October and I know alot of you guys are starting to look for one of a kind pieces for upcoming costume parties, events..so of you just love finding new places to hunt for one of a kind pieces. Well all know Vintage is the way to go when your looking for price savy exclusivity! Well, my sister and I were on our way to grab dinner at Little Azio on Moreland (try the Tortellini entree, its awesome!), and I saw a new store in the same plaza.

Its called the Lucky Exchange. There are two locations, theres the new location I visited at 749 Moreland Ave Atlanta, GA 30316, and theres the original

location at 212 Ponce De Leon Ave Atlanta, GA 30308. The Lucky Exchange reminds me of a smaller version of The Clothing Warehouse. It is very

organized and easy to shop vintage and modern clothing and accessories. They have some cute accessories, I questioned the quality of some of the

pieces but there were some cute things there.

There is something else that makes the Lucky Exchange different and its all in the name. They specialize in the resale of Men's and Women's clothing and accessories. They offer cash and store credit for unique or name brand apparel and accessories. Lucky Exchange asked that the clothing is clean, free of stains, and needs no repair. For any other details give them a call. So if your interested in shopping for something new and different pieces, try the Lucky Exchange. Or if you interested in transitioning your wardrobe, bring your fabulous fashions in to Lucky Exchange and get something new!

Heel Condoms: Freaky Right??? Not really..but Fabulous?? YES!!!

Note: This is not for you freak foot fetish folks. I'm not judging, but this is strictly or fashion purposes only!!! LOL!!

So I'm doing my rounds on the internet to some of my favorite sites and blogs I ran across something really interesting on the HighSnobette blog site and I ran across an article about Heel Condoms. Of course I was like "What is a Heel Condom?? What is the world coming too?" and I read further and I saw a picture much like the one above and smiled at this GENIUS!!

As described on the Heel Condoms website, Heel Condoms are  "condom-like covers that let you play dress up with your shoes. These fit any stiletto type heels ranging from 2-5 inches". Heel Condoms are the brain child of 23 year old Sandrysabel Ortiz. The idea was born from a moment when she couldn't fit all the shoes she wanted to travel with in her suitcase.

Heel Condoms come in all sorts of designs: Ruffles, Studs, Feathers, and all kinds of other design patterns. Heel Condoms range between $20 and $40. They can be purchased on the website or at the limited amount of stores listed on the site. The only US physical location I saw was in Califonia at a store called Agana World. I recommend that you order straight from the website, they ship international as well. Heel Condoms get 5 pumps from me. Heel Condoms caught my attention and seems to be a really great product. I do plan to purchase and when I do I will definately show them off to my Boutique Freakers!! Heel Condoms gives you the power not only to pack light, protect the heels of your shoes, reinvent your shoes, and appear "Avant-Garde" without breaking the bank!! Check out The Heel Condom's facebook and twitter pages for updates on the latest details and designs!

Unexpected Accessory Heaven: Pink Heart Accessories

Tired of going to the malls on the hunt for accessories? Tired getting trapped in Claires or Icing with all the "Teeny Boppers"? Tired of going in your favorite clothing stores, finding the perfect outfit, but scrapping through their limited selection of accessories? Well I found the answer and its in Atlanta's own Atlantic Station. Its a small accessory stored called Pink Heart. Pink Heart is located right next to H&M at in Atlantic Station.

The best way I can describe this place is "Claire's for 21 and up!" There are tons of great-looking costume jewelry, purses, and other accessories. But the clear for front of the store are the top to bottom walls of attractive accessories, in every color you need, at great prices !

There is usually only one person working in the shop. But I doubt you will need any help finding anything because its all laid in front of you, arranged by type of accessory, grouped in color blocks, and arranged with smallest accessory being at the top of the wall progressing to larger accessories toward the bottom. The is an awesome place to get  some really affordable statement pieces as well. There is truely something for everybody here! Its wonderful, TRUST ME!! I give Pink Heart an C for decor, its pretty average. They pretty much let the accessories decorate the store, which isn't a bad thing. I give Pink Heart an A for Customer Experience because the selection is AWESOME!! Its so organized and so easy to shop here. I seriously doubt you could be let down when you come to this place. Check out Pink Hearts facebook page or follow them on twitter at @pinkheartatl. You can visit them at 231 18th Street Atlanta, GA 30363.
