I won't commentate the entire exhibit, instead I'll show you all the fabulous pictures, but what I will do is talk about my favorite! I felt that I was pulled into a special world, It was called Darkly, Deeply, Beautiful Blue by Caryn Grossman and Chris Buxbaum, and cakes by Lisa Humphreys. The first thing I said was "This look like Marie Antoinette's dark side.





Well I guess I became one with the designers! As I read the excerpt for the piece in the program it read ".....I instantly imagined a Parisian salon, a boudoir, a room whose occupant was ready to take to the state. Ideas ricocheted...images of Marie Antoinette, paneled walls with imposing portraits, a fainting couch, baroque embellishments. And blue, everything in deep, true, glorious shades of blue." With that being said I believe this piece spoke to me and I ANSWERED! It was my favorite! Here are some of the other amazing exhibits that were on display.




This was called Heart of Darkness. This piece contained wigs designed by Quron Hicks and fancy wooden handbags by Tamara Bowens and Ray Bergeron. Interior design by the Bill Musso Group.



What's sexier than a bejeweled Valentino pump?? This exhibit that's what! It's called Iron Man and the Concrete Blonde. Loved the use of contrasting materials here.

Hello Boutique Freaks!

Back in February I got the opportunity to attend one of Atlanta's poshest and positive fashion events. Thanks to blogger Charee Lanee, whose blog I won a contest and receive the ticket. I had a great seat for Fashion Uncorked 2013, a fashion designer contest in which the proceeds benefited the children of Easter Seals North Georgia Incorporated. I also got the chance to meet some of my favorite bloggers, Eboni of Fashion Next Door, and Trina of The Baby Shopaholic! This event was filled with food, fun, fashion, design, and more! And it was all for a good cause, what more can you ask for??

Hello Boutique Freaks! I know it's been a while. I've actually been trying to find my legs with the online class I'm taking and the first couple weeks required ALOT of my time! Now I think I'm doing pretty well and getting back into the swing of other things. Fortunately I did have time to visit a boutique (I know it's been a while!). There is a neighborhood near my house that I often go and visit and pretend I'm part of, yes it's that awesome. it's called Glenwood Park. I love the houses, the people, the hangouts, and the shops! Here is where I found Bouchic Boutique and Lounge. They sell woman's clothing and accessories. And they are FABULOUS! On this particular trip they were hosting an event featuring shoes by Elaine Breedlove Fashion and accessories by Fabulina Designs!

Here are some of the shoes that were featured in the lounge area of the boutique. I loved them! I fall in love with 95 percent of things that sparkle and these were not an exception :-)

There were also tables of gorgeous handmade accessories by Fabulina Designs. I couldn't help but purchase a design for myself!

Customers that came into the event could also enjoy 20 percent of all Bouchic merchandise! I copped a beautiful pair of leggings and a bracelet by Fabulina!

PS - It took me a while to get this posted due to some technical difficulties, in a nutshell, phone stopped working, phone had my photos, thank God I was able to retrieve the photos from my SD card! Great news about all this is I now have an iPhone! So look forward to more fab pics. Wish I'd had it for this event so I could have shown better pics!

Happy New Year guys! So what now? I know many of you have you have created new goals, resolutions, vision boards and such. We always emphasize a new start in the new year and guess what fabulous ones? Our closets are not exempt. As I thought about this post I thought about a post that I read on my friend Keosha's blog WearTheyDo.Wordpress.com (click here ~~> http://weartheydo.wordpress.com/2012/10/17/organizing-your-closet/ ) She did a fabulous job of teaching the masses how to organize your closets! So I won't reinvent the wheel, but I will add to it and give you guys some great ideas.

1) Before you do your closet clean outs do your research and find some boutiques (or some store) that will give you treasure for your treasures. What I mean is sell or trade some of those great finds you never seem to "find" in the closet anymore. Places like Lucky Exchange will buy or trade your gently used current or vintage fashions. Are your fashions a little harder to let go of, still hanging on to your Aunt's classic Chanel jacket that has never been and never will be your size? Contact the experts at E-Dropoff from the VH1 show House of Consignment. They can help make the sale of you most prize possessions worth your while.



2) After you've cleaned out your closet make time to really making your closet a place you want to be in. We often concentrate on our bathrooms and our bedrooms, but many of us step into our closets and get confused, overwhelmed, and sometimes stressful. And it is all because many of us don't take the time to really make our closets a place we want to be in. My friend Keosha got it right in her post when she said giving your closet a boutique atmosphere will no doubt make getting dressed a more fun experience. Think about it, you love to shop, why not make your closet close to that experience. Make it your "dressing room".
